This is a three-minute-long video, summarizing the plot of Shakespeare’s famous play, Othello, which was written in 1603.
The 1995 film, directed by Oliver Parker follows the plot of Shakespeare’s play very closely. Only some not so important lines are cut, and only a few parts are added, including some sex-scenes, and Othello’s dream about Desdemona’s and Cassio’s supposed relationship. This was the first film, which was realsed in theatres, and Othello was not played by a black-face actor, but an african-american actor, Laurence John Fishburne. Read more [...]
